OK, so this one actually is going up on Lincoln's Birthday, which will have it's own entry. That wasn't my intention, but that's how it shook out. I haven't gone to bed yet, so as far as I'm concerned it's still February 11. Besides, it's still the right day in half of the timezones in the contiguous U.S.



For whatever reason, my week has plateaued at the level it was on Tuesday morning. Perhaps I ate too much at lunch, which wasn't cancelled out by enough exercise. More importantly, I was able to do well enough to be down for the week. Out of the five weeks I've finished so far, I've been down in four of them. What's more, I am down not only from last Wednesday, but also from the Wednesday before that. My errant week #4 has been cancelled out.

It's clear that my daily journal has helped me keep better progress with my efforts than the weekly one did. By forcing myself to write every day, I've also started making better choices in my daily activities. It's not perfect, as my weekend troubles have shown. But it's definitely sent me in the right direction. My only regret is not starting the daily journal sooner.
