Countdown to Amicalola: Terrible Tuesday

It was bound to happen sometime, that the planets wouldn't align right and I'd go up on a daily reading. This was a bit of a disappointment, considering I had gotten in 30 minutes of exercise, and had stopped eating by a little after 8:00 last night. It's quite possible that tomorrow morning the reverse will be stopped and I'll be heading the right way again. Such is the peril of daily weight measurements.



Tonight I take a significant step forward in my planning, as I am going to attempt sleeping in my trail sleeping bag upon my sleeping pad. As anyone who follows this blog knows, I've had problems sleeping outdoors. I';m pretty sure hiking day in and day out will cure me of this issue, but for right now, I am going to try it in a controlled scenario where I can bail in case I can't sleep. I'm going to start using pillows as if I were sleeping in bed, but eventually I'll move to sleeping with what will be available on the trail.We'll see how it goes in tomorrow's entry.
