I think there might be something wrong with my scale. Seriously, it fluctuates in a way that just seems suspect. I don't know if I'm stepping on different, which might cause variation, or not.
That isn't to excuse this momentary failure away in its entirety. The fact is, when I sit around most of the weekend eating and drinking far too many things that aren't good for me, it shouldn't be a surprise that a bad result would happen.
Also, 1.83 miles is a paltry sum for a weekend, being more than 5 miles away from the 7.5 miles I needed to keep pace for the month. This wasn't my intention going into the weekend, but a rainy Saturday and a lazy Sunday changed my plans. I was fortunate to get that much in this week.
So this week I begin again, optimistic that I can do better, as I have done several times before. This weekend will be another camping trip, this time an actual backpacking trip. Granted, its only a three mile round trip between the camp site and my car, but it still counts. I'm going to have a few "planned" meals this week, and am also trying to maintain a sleep schedule, to see if I can finally get myself up to exercise before I go to work.
From leisurely strolls in the local nature preserve, to treks along the Appalachian Trail, we love to take a walk in the woods. Enjoy our tales about the joys (and pains) of hiking. No longer active, but still keeping around because why not?
